Man Arrested on Burglary Charges from Nov, Jan.
Arrest made in November and January Larcenies:
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has a subject in custody in relation to two separate incidents.
Previously reported on November 21, 2023, various items and equipment were stolen from the Clinton House on Highway 56. Also stolen was a truck and a Yamaha Viking UTV. Cameras were damaged during the incident.
On January 29, 2024, deputies responded to Cooper Road in Enoree in reference to a larceny. A UTV was stolen in addition to a four-wheeler, chainsaws, and various other items. Damage was done to items located on the property, as well as fencing.
After further investigation, a search warrant was conducted at a residence in Greenville County in conjunction with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office at which time evidence was obtained that directly tied Jason Heath Berry to both incidents.
Jason Berry, 44, was arrested on February 12th and charged as follows, with more charges possible:
- 5 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree
- 4 counts of Grand Larceny $10,000 or more
- Grand Larceny, Enhanced
- 3 counts of Petit Larceny, Enhanced
- 4 counts of Malicious Damage
Berry is on hold for Union County and other charges are pending for more counties.

Hardworking residents of this county should not have to worry about their property and belongings. How many more residents have to be victimized for this thug to do some prison time?
