2024 Stats- Deputies in Action
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is happy to once again provide our year in review statistics.
In 2024, we responded to 36,216 calls for service marking a decrease of nearly 4,000 calls compared to 2023. This reduction reflects the positive impact of increased visibility and proactive crime prevention efforts.
It is important to note that a great majority of calls do not require a rapid emergency response. The average response time of 18 minutes and 46 seconds reflects a decrease of over 3 minutes compared to 2023. While the number is an overall average across Laurens County's expansive 700+ square miles, emergency response times are much different and are prioritized.
In addition to making great strides in keeping Laurens County safe, we are proud of our continued efforts to connect with our citizens through various community related programs. We remain committed to building trust and fostering partnerships.
“I am incredibly proud of the men and women of this office and their unwavering dedication to this community. Their commitment to serving others is truly inspiring. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve Laurens County and look forward to continuing our mission of safety and service."
Sheriff Don Reynolds
